HeirBook: Family Heirlooms
Each heirloom photographed, its story recorded, its heir chosen with your reason, and a bequest list per heir with your reasons attached.
In developmentEveryone in the family knows the ring matters. Nobody knows who it goes to, and the one person who can say why is the only one who will not be there to explain.
HeirBook is who gets what, decided while you can still tell them why.
The Registry
Each heirloom photographed and named. What kind of piece it is, who it came from, its era, where it is kept today, and your own estimate of its value if value is part of the picture. A bequest nobody can find is a bequest lost, so the registry always asks where the piece actually is.
The Story Behind Each Piece
The ring is not the point. The morning the bakery opened is the point. Record the story the way you would tell it at the table, and it stays with the piece from now on. Two minutes now keeps it forever.
Who Receives It, and Why
Choose the heir for each piece, and write the reason. The reason is the part your family will actually read, and it is what stops the argument later: not just that the clock goes to him, but that he took it apart at fourteen and it has kept honest time since.
A Letter with Each Piece
A few lines in your own voice, kept with the piece and printed on the bequest list, so it arrives with your words attached.
The Family Picture
One screen shows the whole family side by side: how many pieces each heir receives, your own value estimates added up, how many letters are written, and which pieces are still undecided. Fairness is yours to judge; this is the honest picture to judge it from.
The Bequest List Pdf
One document per heir: every piece with its facts, its story, your reason, and your letter. Print it, hand it over, or keep it with your papers.
Private by Construction
Everything stays on the device. No account, no server, no sync. Nobody else can read it, including us.
What This Is Not
HeirBook records your wishes. It is not a will and does not replace legal estate documents. Bring your decisions to whoever handles your estate; this app makes sure they arrive with the reasons attached.
Free and Unlocked
Ten heirlooms are free, always, each with its photo, story, heir and letter. The one-time Lifetime unlock adds unlimited pieces and the bequest list PDF for every heir. One payment, no subscription.
